A Montreal native, Mahbod spent nearly two decades as a professional ice hockey player, competing in top leagues across North America and Europe.
While navigating a demanding athletic career, he began laying the groundwork for his business ventures in 2016, steadily building a robust property portfolio in his hometown. Today, he channels that same elite discipline and leadership into spearheading Mahbod Group’s strategic acquisitions and development projects.
Under Mahbod’s direction, the company has evolved from managing individual residential assets into a comprehensive real estate and lifestyle platform. His hands-on operational expertise has driven the successful acquisition & repositioning of numerous underutilized Montreal properties into high-performing spaces, including complex multi-unit conversions.
To further expand the group’s presence, Mahbod is now spearheading the company’s ambitious expansion into the hospitality sector, with the anticipated 2027 opening of the M11 Collection, a flagship boutique hotel featuring 60 keys.
